Therefore, the book reviews in this guide help you improve your networking skills in order to grow your business.
Reviews of Network Marketing Books
Before we begin the reviews and recommendations of the network marketing books, we need to make a few important notes.
First, I am not an affiliate marketer. I did not ask the experts to provide the links to purchase the network marketing books. However, in the event they did, I included the links here for your convenience. Please note: I do not make any money from the sale of these books.
Next, there is overlap in the recommendations of network marketing books since some of the experts recommended the same book.
Also, I review network marketing books both positively and negatively. However, the experts only give recommendations of network marketing books since that is what I asked them for.
1. Social Media 101 by Chris Brogan
Pros:
Happily, the book wasn't just about social media.
Chris Brogan includes blogging tips. For instance, he reminds bloggers the blog should not just be about the host blogger.
Blogging is about giving back to the community. Brogan reminds bloggers to link to other bloggers.
Brogan recommends Batch Blogging. This technique has you composing and scheduling blog posts as time allows.
I also advocate the Batch Blogging strategy. The rationale: You have posts stored for days when life gets in the way of your blogging schedule, and you are unable to blog.
When Brogan did write about social media, he reviewed the mainstream social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, and went over the differences between them.
Brogan is a huge fan of Twitter, a site he initially thought sounded inane.
He explores the advantages of Twitter and calls Twitter a "water cooler."
He describes how people supported a cause on Twitter raising funds for a victim of breast cancer.
Brogan also likes Twitter due to its available tools.
Cons:
The book was written in 2010.
Brogan recommends outdated tools and websites like MySpace. To his credit, Brogan explains the tools he recommends might be outdated by the time we read the book.
Full disclosure: I didn't finish it. So far, it just stresses the need for communication.
Also, he disparaged an ice cream truck for talking about the longevity of the company: "Serving ice cream since..."
Brogan says he just wants to see an ad discussing how much fun ice cream is since ice cream is fun, and he wants to have fun.
However, I believe you should tell people how long you've been in business. If your business has longevity, you are doing something right in my mind.
May I quibble further?
Brogan explains he doesn't like the term "UGC." He considers it disparaging. How is this term controversial? It stands for user-generated content.
2. The Mom Test by Rob Fitzpatrick
Fitzpatrick spent four months making an app no one wanted. If he had asked questions first, he could have, would have, saved himself the time, but he didn't.
The reason for the book's title: Don't talk to your mom or anyone who is likely to give you a compliment. You are trying to gather the information that will make your product successful, not generate compliments. Conversations will help you gather this knowledge.
Eric Sui recommends the Mom Test. Sui likes the advice: How to avoid starting a marketing campaign with leading questions.
3. Building a Story Brand by Donald Miller
"Marketing through stories" is the buzzphrase of internet marketing at the moment, but if you struggle to understand precisely how to leverage this idea, this is the book for you.
Miller provides clear guidance for understanding how to use storytelling in all your marketing messages. It also provides a productive way to reimagine the customer (as a hero) and your company (as a helpful guide).
4. Everybody Writes by Ann Handley
Two people at Reddit recommended Ann Handley's book Everybody Writes, so I borrowed the book from the library.
I started reading and was immediately captivated by the amount of value it contains. I kept renewing my hold on the book which currently is three weeks long. This should show you the popularity of Handley's book.
According to a B2B (Business to Business) marketing strategist who reviewed the book,
"Ann's witty take on what works and what doesn't will help you master business writing and --more importantly-- have fun while you're doing it."
5. Trust Me, I'm Lying by Ryan Holiday
According to Ryan Holiday's book, TRUST ME, I'M LYING, fake news exists on websites and became a problem during the Obama Era. The book focuses on the problem of manipulation by reporters. This group, heavily criticized by Holiday, includes bloggers.
Holiday claims bloggers don't check the accuracy of their facts. The Trump Era made popular the phrase "Fake News." Since Holiday's report brings to light the problem of trust on websites, entrepreneurs must make sure they back up their claims. Google itself is cracking down on this lack of credible reporting with its E-A-T criteria.

13. NEVER EAT ALONE – Keith Ferrazzi
This is a “to do” kind of book. Keith basically teaches you how to approach that person you want a guide, mentor, interview, or just share ideas with.
The whole book tells you to step by step what to do and how to do it, not leaving on the side all details related to interpersonal interaction and how to bring out a good amount of charm without making a lunch, brunch, or coffee with someone you are meeting for the first time and you really want to get abroad without screw it or making it awkward.
You need it, basically because it will change all your old preconceptions on how to meet new people, how to get to the right people I mean the people you really want to partner or get in contact with and also will change totally the way you see networking.
14. THE ONE THING - Garry Keller
This is another To-Do book, very comprehensive about the only thing you need to work on in order to really and meticulously prioritize, also ti makes it funny and easy to conceptualize goals in the now and the future.
My favorite part of this one is that you can keep yourself accountable and based on all the research Keller has done on the topic of productivity it really helps you to define where your energy lack in order to do what you need to do to get there. This is a made-for-everyone kind of book because it doesn't matter which your goal is, once you apply the dynamic and the strategy behind the book you can perform at your best either is in your personal life or your career.
15. THE ART OF WAR - Sun Tzu
Life, in general, is about strategy and this book explains clearly how we never get ready for anything in advance. I would recommend this book to people who want to outer perform, be smart about their future goals, and are looking to plan ahead on their personal projects and even on their personal lives.
The philosophy of Sun Tzu to win the battle is always to stay ahead and learn to think like your opponent, which is hard many times as we are educated to think based on our ego ME first. On his journey, you can learn about strategy, kindness, reciprocity, and best practices on negotiation that can still be applied today in one everyday life and also is amazing as this will require to do a little bit of reflection on yourself and how you think, react and act on everyday challenges.

A Complete Shift in Paradigm
16. The Greatest Networker in the World by John Milton Fogg
While this does put some emphasis on MLMs (multi-level marketing), it's a great book anyway. An easy read, it takes you on a journey on which you learn the secrets of network marketing. All I can say that it shifts the paradigm by quite a bit—network marketing is hugely different from regular marketing, and it's possible that you'll need to unlearn plenty of principles that you've gathered over the years.

There are three amazing books that entrepreneurs and business owners read that fit in the Network Marketing Category:
The first two books I've chosen are both written by the same authors in Andrea Waltz and Richard Fenton. Those books are Go For No and The Million Dollar Year - both books are written as parables, stories where the lead character is transported to an alternate time/universe and they have to solve a meaningful business problem.

Go For No is all about the volume of activity required to get the desired outcome, and rather than stopping when the Yes goal is achieved, you must carry on until you've exhausted all the No's. The fact they're both told in the story format means you can empathize with the characters in the story and go on the journey with them.

The Million Dollar Year is written in a similar format to Go For No, but it is specifically on the subject of network marketing on the MLM Cruise.

Crestodina's book is dated in parts having been written in 2012. For instance, he recommends Google+ for blog promotion, and Google+ folded since publication.
However, one of my favorite podcasters, Karan Singh, recommends Content Chemistry, so I read it. I agree with Singh's recommendation that the book belongs on the list. The book will make you a better blogger.
